Krewella – Troll Mix Volume 4 (Get Ripped or Die Trying)

trollmix vol 4

On behalf of all of us, sorry for the lack of posting. Finals week has been getting real, and priorities are important (AKA I have to make up for doing nothing the past 3 months of the semester). Krewella just dropped their forth volume of Troll Mixes. If you missed the last three, I feel bad for you. All are still available for download on their Facebook so definitely give those a listen. This particular mix is more of a mix of the second and third, which I’ll term Dubsex, a perfect mixture of Dub and sexy melodies that make any environment groovy. Enjoy this mix and good luck with the rest of finals/the school year for you young bucks.

Culture Code – Pulse Fiction (Original Mix)

What up what up bassheads? I know it’s finals week or getting close to it for just about everybody, and if you’re like me you’re probably stressing out hardcore. To help alleviate some of that stress from exams I’ve been jamming to this new artist I just came across a couple of weeks ago named Culture Code. This dubstep duo hail from the UK and are both currently only 19 years old; they’re crazy talented for their age. I immediately dug their sound when I listened to some of their remixes on soundcloud from artists like Krewella and Adventure Club. The two really had that melodic/ euphoric vibe that I absolutely love. Even in their heavier songs they keep a melodic, rhythmic tempo that you can still dance to. This track “Pulse Fiction” is brand new and is going to feature on their upcoming EP release. The song has a…

Wonder Girls – Like Money (Invader! Remix)

Wondergirl

Invader! is a dude from Tally that absolutely brings it! This song starts off strong with some heavy synths and some sexy vocals, and the drop only gets better. I would not be surprised if you hear this song or bits of it in sets this summer festival season. Some of his other notable remixes include a panty dropping rendition of Taylor Swift’s “I Knew You Were Trouble” where he opens the song with simple vocals and throws Drum n Bass in your face at this drop. He shows his dub talent again in his remix of Goldman’s “Closer” with beautiful chords paired with the filthiest of drops, once again. In any case, this guy has talent, be sure to show him some love on his Facebook and Soundcloud.

Schoolboy – Ministry Of Sound Mix

artworks-000045679640-96qghy-t500x500

What up bassheads? I’ve got a dope new mix for you to jam to. First off, I hope you guys have heard of the madman who calls himself Schoolboy, if not I’m kinda sad for you. I got the opportunity to see Schoolboy play a show at Amphitheater Nightclub in Tampa with resident DJ Nerd Rage about a year ago. I like Nerd Rage just fine, but I have to say Schoolboy completely stole the show that night. His stage presence and nasty beats completely captivated my buddies and I who went down for it. It was definitely worth the trip. His latest release isn’t a single track, it’s one massive mix of awesome-ness titled “Ministry of Sound”. It’s definitely on the heavier side, Schoolboy stays pretty true to his dubstep sound/following, but I’m sure anyone and everyone can get down to it. Check out Schoolboy’s Soundcloud for some other…

Alvin Risk & Designer Drugs – Empty Hearted (Original Mix)

alvin

Alvin Risk has been in the studio producing non-stop it seems like. With his release of “Skyclad” dropping only about a month ago, this dude seems to never quit. He’s back again with one of the dopest tracks I’ve heard recently, and he got one of my favorite duo’s, Designer Drugs, to collaborate with him on this new track. The song is titled “Empty Hearted”. It’s definitely somewhat of a love anthem. One that has ridiculous bass-lines and crazy electro-dubstep beats. Designer Drugs are much more known for there electro beats, but the duo was able to step out of their comfort zone and produce some awesome dubstep in this one. I think this was one hell of a collab and I’m sure you will too. Check it out. Download Designer Drugs & Alvin Risk Empty Hearted (Original Mix)

Haz and RHILLZ – First Contact

avatars-000038171775-7qapm4-t500x500

For those of you who love yourself some sick rap lyrics and dope dubstep, Haz and RHILLZ is right up your alley. I just discovered this duo a few weeks back when I heard the preview to their song “First Contact”. I have to say when I first heard the preview I was stoked on it. I usually go into moods of listening to a lot of Hip-Hop (mainly A$AP) and crazy electronic music, mainly dubstep. But this collab does something unique, they truly bring together rap music and futuristic beats of dubstep and create a dope, extremely original track. I’m mad impressed by the full song “First Contact”, that’s why I had to share it with you guys. It’s a great party song, yet it also packs a serious punch. You’ll see what I mean after you hear it. Check it out. Check out their Soundcloud

Oldboy – Mixtape: RAPTURE

artworks-000029679884-knvs7g-t500x500

Yo Yo, ladies and gentlemen it is my great pleasure to introduce you to an incredible new talent producing from my hometown of Orlando, FL. In the past few months I’ve seen my dude Oldboy open up for Run DMT, Terravita, and for an infamous night of Takeovr at Roxy Nightclub. It’s safe to say he’s starting to make quite a name for himself. I’ve gotten the opportunity to kick it with Lee (Oldboy) thanks to my good buddy Chuck Magid from “Studio 18” in Winter Park and really expect big things from this dude. Oldboy’s got a dope style. He loves to hit hard with heavy bass-lines and get your body loose with some nasty drum n bass beats. Take it from me, the dude absolutely throws down. His boys and us are working on trying to get him up here so Gainesville can witness some Oldboy swag. He’s…

GRiZ – Gettin’ Live

GRiZ-Gettin-Live-612x612

For those of you who have been living under a rock for the past year, GRiZ is the new standard for live instrumental performances mixed with dubstep. Between himself, Gramatik, and Big Gigantic, they run the live instrumental performance scene. Here’s a new track off of his upcoming second album. His first EP, Mad Liberation (Download), introduced me to combinations of sounds that I personally had never heard before. GRiZ picked up right where he left off with “Gettin’ Live”, harmoniously blending the live music sounds of his saxophone and Wuzzy’s guitar with beautiful synths and drops. Grab a copy of this and be on the lookout for his EP coming out this summer.

Bro Safari – The Drop (MUST DIE! Remix)

What up fellow bassheads? I’ve got a dope on-the-rise Dj blowing up my soundcloud named MUST DIE!. I just heard of him a couple of days ago because I stumbled upon a remix competition for the Zomboy song “Here To Stay”, and MUST DIE! was getting a ton of votes. After listening to all his tunes on soundcloud, I discovered one of my favorite new artists, no joke. This guy absolutely throws down. He’s got massive basslines and crazy breaks that are complimented by heavy, yet incredible dubstep. This is latest download as of now, but look out for his name/his remix of Zomboy’s “Here To Stay”. Check it.

Minnesota – Eternal Frequencies EP

He’s back ladies and gentlemen, the ambient yet nasty beats from producer Minnesota are back and damn do they sound dope. This new EP of his called “Eternal Frequencies” isn’t very long, it only consists of two songs “Bloom” and “Stardust Redux”, but both the songs are seriously awesome. Both these tunes are so noticeably Minnesota, his sound is just so unique and incredible, it’s truly impossible to imitate. I was in love with the ambient synths of both these jams yet the fast upbeat dubstep/electro vibe they both had as well. I’m sure you guys will love both these tunes, grab ‘em here.
